Ok, im new to this hunting lark and hope to do some this season (although typically not on my own mare- godamn!)

anyway, i cannot understand the differences between all the jackets ive been reccommended: if i google hacking jacket i come up with loads of different types and i dont know the difference.

Would someone be so kind as to stick me up some links to a few jackets/jumpers etc that i need to buy?

Im guessing just normal Cream jods are ok so i can work that one out

Thankies and a big glass of iwine/tea/vodka (whatever your preference) :D

Go for heavyweight wool, weather that be tweed, black or navy. Light and middleweight ones just won't be warm enough.

I would go for a green or brown tweed, that way it's a bit more versatile and could be used for showing etc. What kind of budget do you have? Would you prefer a velvet collar or a plain one?
I have a nice green tweed jacket with a green velvet collar that was £90. The brand escapes me but they're in Pritchard's and JMP at the moment. They're more middleweight but that means I can wear them in the summer to jump in and put thermal on underneath for hunting, though I only wear mine for cubbing and wear black for hunting so don't need my tweed to be as warm.
