Jackie Harrison, who used to be a 'back person' for many years in the East of England died earlier this year and her funeral will be held at St. Faith's Crematorium in Norwich ( near to the airport) on Friday June 14th at 12.30 pm.
Jackie was very badly hurt in a car accident in Buckinghamshire several years ago and as a result of her injuries never returned to full health. She continued with her work, but had to be driven to clients until, about 2 years ago, her health deteriorated and she went in to a care home.
She always talked of her animals, and those of her clients, with kindness and love and I find it so sad to think that her life was ruined and cut short by the freak car accident which was not of her making. Rest in Peace.

Thanks for letting us know the time/date of Jackie's funeral. I'm very sorry that I can't be there. I knew Jackie for very many years when she lived in Horstead. As well as being a back person, she was a keen western rider - very unusual for 30 odd years ago. I last saw her about three years ago, and as you say, it was immensely sad to see how her life had changed. She had a rough start to her life and a rough ending; but she certainly made the most of the many years in the middle. She will be missed by many.
