If she wanted to publicise her illness that was up to her and good on her for encouraging women to go for smears. However it was the behaviour of the press in the last couple of weeks culminating in OK saying she was dead before she was. Some of the tabloids and magazines have been complete vultures! I do feel for her family and worry about how they will cope - has Jackie got anyone now and will Jack be able to keep out of trouble? Even this sounds like a soap opera.
RIP Jade

I have had one of my close friends (had cervical cancer and given all clear about 3 months ago) stressed up to the nines and panicking, unable to function because the press coverage has destroyed her hope.

RIP Jade, wouldnt wish it on anyone..
Good luck lads.

Apparently Jade gave her consent for the OK! tribute to run, but again this was in the papers and on the news so who knows.

Jade on BB was the last one I ever watched, I got kind of busy again with life and stuff lol and realised it wasnt that great afterall.

She has made money from it, and fair play to her I say. She raised a lot of awareness about the disease and there has been an increase of young women going to the doctors to request a smear. If she saves just one woman, then hooray for her.

I think a lot of people identifed with her because she was so "normal" in the sense, what you saw was what she was. I wasnt a fan of Jade Goodey but I admire her for the way she appeared to handle her illness and I applaud her for getting as much exposure as she possibly could on the media for both getting the message across and getting her hands on as much money as she possibly could for her children's future.

I dont think the money will be tainted in any shape or form. If I had the opportunity, dying or not, to make money to secure my daughters future I'd exploit myself any which way I could.

She wanted it, and max clifford milked it for all it was worth so she could leave some cash for her family, and also so people were aware of this terrible illness .....

i am not knocking her for wanting to make money for her kids, but what about the money she would have made in the last 7 years after bb.
she did alot of work, wrote alot of books etc what happened to that.

i do think it is good that she let the cameras in to see what this aweful illness is really like, more awareness is needed, which it has done.

i just hope it stops here to protect her children, so their lives do not become anymore of a circus than it has been.

I think fair play to Jade for letting the press and media circus know all about her devastating illness. I remember as a die hard Queen fan all those years ago hearing about Freddie Mercury having Aids. The fans and public only knew about his illness a day before he died. I can remember feeling very let down that he didn't share his news with his loyal fans, some of whom had been with him and Queen since the beginning and helped make them so sucessful. At least Jade has the b*lls to say how she felt instead of hide away, but having said that I don't know if I would have acted any different to Freddie had it been me.
