Now I know that horses are generally that bit cheaper to buy coming up to and in the midst of winter, but after discussing this with a friend, do you think that you have a greater chance of getting a bargain specifically in January??

Surely no one would be chosing to sell at this time, if they had time to wait for a sale they would be waiting a few more months till the spring? right?? Or wrong??!

(Friend likes a horse out of his price range and we were discussing the chances of haggling down to what he can afford)

What do you think?

Worth a try, owner may be happy to cut their losses, rather than pay for horses keep till the Spring, in the hope of getting a better price.

Well that's what I thought, but you'd never know it with the number of over priced horses around at the moment...
