I took a freind to meet my mare the otherday my freind is a man was going to be my "new man" but changed my mind (long story)anyway we walked accross the field i gave him a carrott to give to her she took the carrot off him and then just put her ears flat back at him and went to bite him so i told her off and said lets walk back accross the field so i turned away from her and she suddenly reared up and lashed out with her front foot and caught my arm i spun round to tell her off but she she just buggered off up the field bucking and farting with no care in the world,when i got her she had been a brood mare and really had not had alot of one to one attention just been in a herd but i have had her nearly a year now and we have a very close bond so i just wondered if she was jealous or just being a bitch
