Hi

Can you tell me what speed you can drive in part time mode please, and what is the difference between part time, and full time mode?

If you are that unsure you would be better ringing the manufacturers or emailing them as you seem very unsure of your vehicle. I have a 4 x 4 but not a Cherokee (I looked back at your old post) I would assume that like most 4 x 4's if you are starting to slide or there is snow/ice put it in 4wd so you have traction all round (if it's anything like our's) you won't be able to drive that fast in 4wd. Must admit don't understand what you mean by part time mode? Do you mean normal 2WD?

Hi Flowerlady,

Thanks for reply. My jeep is always in 2wd unless you manually put them into 4wd. You then have a choice of driving it in 4wd part time mode. Or driving it in 4wd full time mode. You can also drive it in 4wd lo, which I know about and would not use.

The manual is a little confusing, basically I don't want to damage my car by driving it in the part time mode if I should be driving it in the full time mode. Personally you need a degree to understand the manual. However iam rather dumb so maybe it is just me.

Maybe I should just call the jeep garage.
