Hi all
I bought a Jeffries IR bridle a while ago, but without reins. I'd quite like some reins - I find them useful for steering purposes :D and need some rein buying help.
Firstly - do Jeffries do reins to match the IR bridle, and secondly, do they do the half rubber grip ones, sometimes called 'dressage' reins?
I am useless at shopping...

Here, just go into the web site and go to the type of worked bridle you want, and look at reins. http://www.ejeffries.co.uk/products/132374/Reins They are very helpful at jeffries, I recommend them, we just bought a falcon High wither event saddle from them and we are in spain, they were amazingly helpful throughout the purchase so give them a call or e mail. Hope that helps?

I use the Jeffries Eventa rubber grip reins, I hate 'normal' rubber reins but these are really soft and flexible and not too thick in your hand. They do the half rubber reins too :)

It may be just me, but I found the rubber on the reins very soft, and it soon broke up (these were normal rubber reins..). I love jeffries bridles, but ow buy "normal" english reins for day to day, and keep the jeffries ones for best!

I have some of their "dressage reins" for my competition bridle, they are lovely, although the grip is coming off in places, they are probably 5 years old but will certainly be replacing them with jeffries again :)

Ok, so which would you recommend I buy?
They are to go with an XL size IR bridle, for a chunky horse around 16.2 - 17hh.
I did appreciate the links - but the reins appear to have been photographed from half a mile away, and I can see no distinguishing features on them at all! :D
