Has anyone used a Falcon hawk event saddle on a fairly light TB and been happy with the fit?

I used to have one and loved it but not sure whether it would suit current horse.

have a saddler out to your horse
ring up & ask them to bring that saddle to try/fit

my saddlers you can go and pick up 3 new or 2nd hand saddles "try them on" and then the saddler will come out & fit it

he also brings various saddles to fit in your budget & what you want

e.g. budget £500 - saddles WH or VSD

Hi does anyone know much about Jeffries width fittings? I'm looking for a new second hand saddle & looking at a perflexion & a Falcon Adler VSD have an option of medium or wide fittings, my horse has practically no wither but has big shoulders & my current saddle always slips back (Not Jeffries). Anyone any suggestions please? I don't have saddle fitter near that does Jeffries for me to try. also opinions on the above saddles would be appreciated.
Thanks

I recently bought a Jeffries Falcon saddle that a saddler told me was a "perfect fit" for my horse. Well, I decided to get another saddler's opinion as it didn't look right to me (but I originally trusted first saddlers opinion as he is very well reputed). Anyway, turns out the saddle didn't fit at all (width fitting wrong) but new saddler had the same model in her car in the correct fitting, and well, that didn't fit either as the shape of the saddle was completely wrong for the shape of his back.

I thought I could spot whether a saddle fitted or not, but after what this new saddler showed me on Saturday (and she is fantastic!) I have now realised I will never again buy saddles from ebay or try and fit saddles myself, as there is far too much I don't know.

As for whether a Jeffries will fit your TB, at a guess I would say no as the shape of them does not tend to suit the higher withered horses. If you want a definite answer, get a saddler out to check for you.
