I was supposed to have a lesson this afternoon but it was cancelled, so I was left with a free afternoon. Wasn't really sure what to do with myself till someone suggested I took J to Poplar Park for a play. Figured it would be good for him to go and school through the 3 different water jumps there as that is what he finds difficult.
Got there and warmed up, he was very full of himself and gave up jumping PN jumps as he was just too cocky.
Haven't been to poplar for ages and wasn't 100% sure what jumps were what. Saw a lovely looking rails in the distance so off we set, at the last minute I suddenly thought f**king hell this is a bit big, but it was too late by then
Photo doesn't really show its width very well, but it was very decent
He jumped it so much better than he had jumped the smaller jumps so figured he may as well up his game a bit
This was a huge table, but c**p photo unfortunately. He made it feel very easy...
He then did a few more similar fences and went to play in the water as planned, he was a star
Realised afterwards that he had jumped a fair few intermediate fences, (lower end ones of course) as they were in it when I walked the Intermediate in march
He just gets better and better the more you challenge him, think he thoroughly enjoyed himself, much more than if he had had a lesson anyway
Thanks for reading!
