JIN Stirrups, any reviews? Or other lightweight?

Looking at new stirrups as the mountain horse stirrups i have on my dressage saddle are just so heavy and clumpy. Previously heard good reviews of the JIN stirrups, what are others thoughts? Horse-security have a very good deal at £89 which means they are almost affordable!

If you dont recommend them what do you recommend in the same sort of price area? I have bad knees and back so anything that doesn't aggravate either would be great.
 
Are they like Sprengers? Same action? Looking at a picture, I don't see how they work. I have fake Sprengers which are heavy, but have the same flexibility.
 
I have Jins and I can't explain why they're so great except that they just are! I rarely lose a stirrup and if I do, it's easy to recover but they're so light and comfortable I no longer seem to get any niggly knee aches. In fact, I liked (and must've raved about them) so much my Mum bought me a second pair for Christmas :D

They look rather big on some saddles, do you find this?
Does the tread have dorm sort of rotation in it?
Losing stirrups never a problem so not too worried about that factor. In terms of brightness of colours are they really as stand out as they seem to be and for competing are they okay? Not really looked into rules for things like BD with them?
 
I have them because they are lightweight and 2 of my horses are very small. I haven't found a massive difference over my older/heavier stirrups, but they are worth it from the weight point of view for me
 
I bought the jins because they were pretty but tbh wouldn't ride in anything else now as they seem to really support all the way up my leg and my arthritic old back is loads better for that so a big thumbs up :)
 
Jin stirrups have a really wide foot base/platform to provide stability for the foot. I have just ordered my second pair for my youngsters saddle.

I have a 17" Prestige jump saddle and a 17.5" stubben and they don't seem to look huge - mind you, I went for muted colours so the focal point isn't there as it would be with the bright blue or red! There's no rotation in the tread, and in terms of colours, some are in your face bright (blue, red and green) and some much less so; I picked titanium and titan gold and they're both pretty muted :)

ETA that I know they're fine for BS and I've seen a fair few people with the muted colours (and bling!) at BD.
 
I have had Compositi reflex stirrups for years. Cheap & chearful but appear to work on the same princliples as the Jin ones.
