Corrr i haven't posted on here for a while!
Well basically I saw advertised a grooms job 2/3 hours at weekends, £10 an hour.
Rang up and was told there were 6 horses but they were just in a field and she just needed someone to groom them for her.
Fair enough, so i went to see them yesterday as a kind of informal interview.
Well, it is basically about 10 horses in a field, some with very young foals and they were nearly all yearlings and two year olds.
The lady asked me no questions about my experience, or anything really- just if i had my own horse.
The horses seemed very shy and nervous and looked as though they hadn't really been handled much. She pointed at a couple of horses and said that she just wanted these few groomed and that I could just tie them to a tree in the shade or on a fence post somewhere in the field and give them a brush.
And with no questions asked about me at all she said i could start next week.
Should I take it? Sounds a bit odd doesn't it.
