Right, basically i have no idea what to do..!

I currently work at a bakery 7am-5pm on a saturday for which i get £34.
it really wears me out, i am 15 and have school all week too, GCSE's coming up and getting a new horse in a matter of weeks + a competition schedule (hopefully!)

I don't know how i'll fit in everything..

I saw a job advertised in my local tack shop for a sunday job down a yard (mucking out and grooming, the occasional tack clean!) about 20 mins away from my house..
7.10-11.30 ish.

For a lady who can't muck out/groom her horses at the weekend due to her competing frequently.
And the weeks she's not competing.. me to hack out/ride her horses with her.
She is a showjumper with 4 competition horses..
which would be excellent experience for me as this is something i'd like to do!!

AND i'd get paid £30.

I rang up and she said she wants to hear from me tonight if i'm interested so i can come down for a day.. so i need to decide ASAP!!

My mums unsure as i'd be down on my own with four 16/17hh horses, which tbh personally, i'm not at all bothered with!

I couldn't possibly do both.. so i need to choose!
And i have only been at the bakery for 2 months!

If you were me.. what would you choose?!

Oh goodness, congrats if you get this far!

i would go for the riding one. it sounds like that is really what you WANT to do. plus would be great experiance

I would Def choose the horsey job!! it's a lot less hours so more time for your horse and only a little less pay, the experience will be really good too, if you want a career with horses.

Well the yard job works out better paid, and you'd probably enjoy it more. With that the hours are far better as you would still have time to do your new horse on both weekend days rather then one... Know which i'd go for!

Why don't you go down and see how it goes. Just because they are big horses does't mean they are badly behaved. Also if yo are just mucking out and grooming when she isn't there not too much handling to be done.

You would be doing a lot less hours, getting paid the same amount and getting good experience working with horses, very useful if you're getting your own one. If I were you I'd go for the horsey job (but not hand notice in at bakery until it's a definate). Isn't £3.40 p.h. less than the minimum wage?

URGH i finally decided to go for the horsey job and guess what..

she went and gave the job to someone else.

To say the least i am incredibley annoyed. :@
