Jobs using languages...also in careers.

Hello,

Just a quick question....do any of you lovely people have a job which involves the use of a foreign language?

I have a degree in French and German, but currently work as an accounts clerk....! I would love to use my languages, but don't want to teach.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks x

Depends on what you want to do, anything from travel guide, PA or secretary to a German or French executive based in the UK, technical translation, customer help desk/phone support, and it may also help you land a role working for French or German firms in the UK, etc etc

i am a translation co-ordinator, there are many jobs out there like that! it's project management basically, so great if you like that kind of thing!

Definitely in the transport industry! Years ago I had a transport job and used French 85% of the day. French and German is much used in this field, the jobs are exciting and never have a dull moment, mailshot the companies that have strong links within the French and German markets ;-)
