Reserpine stays in the system for up to 6 weeks, so it might have been given a long time before for a purely innocent reason. Not that I can think of a reason why it would have ever been administered in the first place. It is a mind altering drug often used by dealers. I bought a mare that been given it and it took that amount of time before she showed her true colours.
