jockeys pay?

why do jockey always complain about how much money they get??
when they get quite a lot of money

they get paid per plus a share of the prize money so why do they complain
 
I take it you have little to no knowledge of racing.

The top flight riders make a decent living. The journey men struggle to make a living. The only common denominator is all risk their lives each and every time they get legged up.

I bet you are not followed by an ambulance whilst you go about making your living.
 
It's not as if they can walk to work, get sick pay, clock on at 9 and leave at 5, and the air con in the office isn't up to much either. Perhaps the Injured Jockeys Fund is just for the slackers! As said above the few at the top are doing well but there are many with only one foot on the first rung of the mounting block
