do stable girls always end up marring jockeys?


because i am off to the British racing school soon i hope to be a stable girl, and people keep saying oh you will end up marrying a jockey or dating a jockey!

and i really don't want to end up with a jockey haha


what if no one else wants me :rolleyes: (i know this is a very weird question)


do you think they do ? and why :confused:
 
hahaha well i must be the exception to this rule! lol ive seen stable lads/lasses seeing other stable staff members and i have a friend who was a stable lass who was seeing a mechanic and they are now happily married. its not very often that a stable lass will marry a jockey as 9/10 they work at same place and having to spend all day working together then go home to same person. where i worked these types of couples had no privacy, everyone knew what was going on as they argued all time at the yard from being in each others pockets all time. not saying there arent happily married stable lasses/lads and jockeys. this is just from what ive seen from where i was working. its often for convinence that they start off together.
 
i really don't think you have anything to worry about i have worked in a racing stable for years and its very rare you see jokey /stable staff relationships and the few i have seen never lasted long anyway.

you sound young so don't need to worry about marriage anyway, you will be fine don't worry you will find someone

and i don't blame you for not wanting a jockey!
