Ok, I am having real trouble with my jods recently and their effect on my lady bits!!! :o They are causing me much pain! To the point where I have abandoned them completley and currently ride in a pair of new look stretchy skinny jeans! These are very comfy but are rapidly wearing rather thin!!

So, those who may have suffered from the same problem in the past (I can't be the only one, surely?!), have you managed to locate some jods which are more comfortable and don't have seemingly industrial seams? If you have, pleeeease can you recommend them to me so that on dismounting I can actually like a normal human bean and not john wayne like! Oh..and the budget is pretty tight, so nothing posh please!

Dobbies Jods do made to measure full seat jods google them reasonably priced and perfect fit for me ment no more 'riding'. :o
But big knickers are the way forward. :D:D:D

I love my phoenix jods - got various pairs and all very comfy.

Agree though that big, proper pants, preferably cotton ones, are the way to go :D

You can also try some specialist riders underwear - Equetech do a range.

try endurance tights (not called jods). Very soft, come in range of colours so you don't have to have the rainbow stripe, some can have wording put on. Added bonus is thatmany have optional knee padding and/or rump (including lady bit) padding, so soft & comfy no matter how many hours in saddle. try googling carousel riding tights or goldfinch or performance equestrian. some also sell water repellant ones.

Thanks folks - rest assured I am incredibly careful over pant selection! All pants are cotton! I am waaaay too sensitive!

Going to google the suggestions thanks..endurance ones sound particularly good.:)

full seat ones seem better to me, not so many seam issues! Cotton pants def, sounds awful (and way tmi, sorry!) but if the pants are on the comfy side size wise then they are worse - creases are terrible! So if between two sizes I would go down one.

I have had a similar problem, why manufacturers make the seams meet right where... you know :cool:
Knicker manufacturers do it too :o What you need is a nice flat gusset in your knickers :) and jods where the seams do not meet in a pointy bit

I have no idea why on earth they put the seams where they do. I find that the ones with seats bulit in (in different colours, materials etc) are by far the worse. Why would anyone want to ride with sharp, thick seams in delicate areas???? It's not rocket science...... I wish the manufacturers would take note!!!
