Jodhpur sizing! :S

Quite a while ago, I got some Sherwood forest jodphurs on sale and was looking for some more online as I loved them. I looked on the label and it said 32. Is this jodhpur sizing? I know that in most other makes a 28 can be to big!! Explain/help what size I should get on ebay!?!?!

it means inches around the waist, going up in 2" every time (eg 28", 30", 32" etc)

Ah far as I know, that's inches. I bought a 34" pair and they're too big, need 32" or smaller next time lol!

I have shires and calligi (or something like that) new a few weeks and they are 28.
I also have John McDougall which are 30.
The Sherwood Forest are the oldest and they 32? :S

Does it vary from make to make or what?

I think ideally it shouldn't, but as with most clothing, it does.

I also think it's dependent on material used etc. as some has more give than others.
