Finally getting round to buying some new jodhpurs are mine died. I have been using my mum's old breeches which as older than I am as a replacement! But as every time I look for new jodhpurs I'm stuck with sizing. I am a 14/16 so what will the size be. I don't see why they don't use the normal british sizing!

Just measure your waist to get the correct size. Some jod manufacturers do use normal dress sizing but are very old fashioned and class a 24" waist as a 10, a 26" as a 12 and a 28" as a 14 which is no where near what normal clothes shops use.

Depends alot on your shape- I'm a size10/12 in trousers BUT because I have fat hips but a slim waist I am a 26 in jods (also have 24 and 28 that I wear). Old style jods sit on your true waist wheras newer styles are nearer the hips so you are likely to need a bigger size.
