Is it just me who thinks this is utterly hilarious?!

Apparently jodhpurs are now fashion items, and can be found in the likes of Gap and Next. TBH they're not exactly the same as what we riders wear, but still...

...surely they are pretty much the least flattering items ever?

We wear them because they serve a purpose, but I'm yet to see anyone whose figure they do anything for.

I have to say I would point and laugh if I saw some fashionable type wondering through my local city centre in jods

I saw a woman going round thorpe park in "fashion" jods with high heeled boots and a flat cap. She looked stupid. I saw a feature on the equine fashion theme last autumn and there were crops for £20 as a fashion accessory!!!! The only think i liked was a bag with a snaffle on it and it was £1000. Think of the stuff I could buy horsey!

They don't look too bad on me but I know I'm the exception & damn lucky!

I bet the people who wear them because they are trendy will wear them with high heeled long boots to make their legs longer & slimmer, stick them in a pair of wellies (even the trendy pink/patterned ones) and I bet they will look just as silly as the rest of us.... In fact sillier because at least we all wear jods for a purpose.

whatever next - I'm like Panda I dont look too bad in them but I cringe if I ever have to top up my petrol or stop in at a shop in them on my way to/from the yard!!

Yes they are officially "in" this season, as a fashion student i often see the equestrian trend hit the catwalks, a few years ago they had riding hats going down the runway!

Excellent, I knew I would be in fashion one day - does that include stains from poo picking and hairs?

And the cunningly interwoven stench of horse pee!
