As the title says, really. I'm a size 8 and usually wear adults size 24. I've seen some nice, cheap children's breeches online and wondered if I could get away with them. They're sized in ages though. When I've googled children's sizing, apparently age 16 is a 32" waist! If this is the case, they'd be far too big for me. Apparently a 24" waist in children's is age 7-8. Obvioulsly they'd be really short though. Does anyone know how the sizing works?

Sorry for the stupid question. I love a bargain if I can get one!

Depends how tall you are as there is huge variation in sizing for kids Jods!
We usually find that a size 8 in ladies can usually get into a junior 28. However, you need to be fairly "straight up & down" as kids Jods are not as generous on the hips as ladies. I would recommend something like Equetech, rather than the cheaper end which will not be so generous in the leg!

Thanks. I don't really have hips and am about 5'6", although my legs are only 30". As they're breeches, I don't suppose length would matter that much? Am I right that a children's 28" is usually age 11-12?
