I dont get the sizes on joddies. Im wanting to buy some, but its been solong since i have, but because im destroying my clothes latley with all the mud and muck, i figured its time to buy some! :p

Im not the smallest girl in the world and do have a bum and tum, so do i go for a 36"? but being im short i dont know!:confused::confused:

IF you're lucky there are three lenths long, regular and short so I'm guessing you're going to want the shortest ones. THe waist you need will be roughly the measured size of your own waist. Or you could go into a shop and try some on using those ideas as a rough guide to see how it alters with different makes.

hmm i guess, i mean i usually wear a size 20 (for comfort mainly) but i am a size 18 and im 5ft 3 (short and fat as i like to call it)

I have typed in size 18 on ebay and size 36 comes up...Coor all i know is i have a headache from it lol!

30 is a 12 in most jodhpur sizing, but sometimes a 14. I'm an M&S stadard 12 in trousers and I like my jods loose fit and always buy 30s

When I first started riding a 12 was a 24. I guess that's inflation for you :)

I hope that helps girls !

The sizes have all got bigger. Years ago I was a size 12 in everything except M&S where I was a 10. Now I am a 10 in everything. I usually take size 26 jods or 28 in some makes. Dublin I find are nice and generous fitting so always a 26 in them. OP, if you are an 18 - 20 you will be a 36 or 38 in jodhpurs.

I am a 12 in normal clothes, but jodhpurs can be tricky. Different brands all seem to fit slightly differently, and it also depends on how stretchy the material is.

I seem to be 28 if the material is very stretchy, and 30 for most brands. However I bought a pair of Mark Todd tauranga jodhs (the ones with the full grip seat) and I needed the size 36, and even then they felt too tight!

best thing is to go and try some on.

i'm a 14 in jeans etc and I wear a 30 breeches but the bum and legs are always so baggy- hence why I ride at home in skinny jeans.

Does anyone else find this?

I've got fat leg-tops (jodhpur thighs!) and no bum but I don't have that problem :) I think you're an apple and I'm a pear. Perhaps we should all get made to measure? Anyone got a spare couple of hundred quid??

ps anyone else adore their musto snugs??? Fit like nothing on earth and sooooo comfy - but size 12 is tight in medium and I wear large. And has anyone EVER done them on a cold wash like the label says???
