Our youngest (8yo) is a keen rugby player. The relevance that has to riding is he was built for the front row being 75 centile height for his age but 98th centile weight. In other words he's square.

Because he's so broad we have to get jods that are way too long. He's tired wearing jods rolled up and they make chaps uncomfortable and stop him wearing long boots.

Anyone suggest any brands that are not made for skinnymalinks? He's wearing Mountain Horse at the moment as they're the best we've found.

Hnmmm not too sure but could you buy cheap joddies and get them cut off & shortened? Is the place where the knee pad is a problem doing it that way?

You could try "cavaletticlothing.com" they do larger sizes for ladies and have a childrens section. Perhaps give them a call as they are very helpful and may be able to suggest a brand or have an adult size that could be altered.

Even turning them up that's a problem. If you shorten them you have to move the kneepad as well.

Thanks, I'll try them. He is actually into small adult sizes for some riding (riding hat) and rugby (shorts and ead protector) so maybe that's the way to go.
