Joe is very similar to my Freddie... workmanlike in his way of going and with a sweet gentle demeanour.
I'm now cantering Freddie, and have found it's a bit more 'floaty' than the ''choppy'' trot I can get, so going on that basis I'm going to bet Joe will be equally lovely and will give you a comfy enjoyable ride. The voice commands will happen in no time, in fact it's now a (non) problem for us, as he does things before I even finish the word!! lol
BTW - did you ever find out his breeding? Is there CB in Joe?

I haven't been able to find out anything, but he is so like a CB that is difficult to believe he isn't at least half. His shape of head could possibly have come from shire or clydesdale but I'd expect feather and more bone he has only a tuft at his ergot. I've seen TBs with more

I'd love to know, out of pure curiosity, but I haven't got anything from the people who passported him as a weanling and the people I bought him from don't know.

I don't know what other users you think I have posted as, but you are wrong. You certainly don't hide your opinions when it comes to other people and their horses - how they go, how sound they are, what condition they are in etc.

I have met many people in my day who can dish crap out all day long but can't take even a fraction of that back.
