Sad news announced of his passing. Great supporter of show jumping and racing. Only watched his joy the other week when Protektorat won.

I thought he looked rather frail when they interviewed him after Protektorat's victory but still loving life and his racing.
One Man was one of my favourite racehorses ever (I properly cried when he died)

I didn't see him or notice any hunters with his name or sponsorship on them in all the years I had hunters on the go, his daughter Lisa had a team of showjumpers.

Huge loss to the racing world.

He always seemed such a lovely man who genuinely loved his horses and watching their many achievements.

I think Lisa Hales had Working Hunters, I'm sure she won HOYS WH many years ago.

I always loved John Hales, he seemed like the perfect owner, I was saddened to read this news.
