John Whitaker Cheek Pieces

Hi there, Just thought id try here as a last resort so here goes. Does anyone have a pair of JW clip cheeks, in black, size cob they would like to sell. OH's horse snapped one of his before xmas and our local tack shop are having no luck getting a pair off JW International. Apparently they moved premises before xmas and everyone is supposedly still having a nightmare getting stuff off them. Ive tried google'in them but loads of shops sell the browbands but i'm having no luck finding cheeks.

Wait for it...

... a couple of years ago our lovely, sensible new cob took fright because his new very best friend had been turned out, and he hadn't, so he charged across the yard half tacked up, with his old owner watching in horror on her first visit to see him, and he trashed his bridle, breaking one cheek piece on his BLACK, COB SIZED JW bridle!

But whether I can find the other remaining one remains to be seen....

Will go hunt for it, fingers crossed!

my daughter broke a cheek piece on her jw bridle last year and I was told nowhere sells parts only whole bridles. I looked everywhere as i couldn't believe that was true but didn't find anywhere
It must happen alot as the leather breaks easily. I ended up having one made to match the rest of the bridle which didn't cost much and maybe is the answer to your problem.

My local tack shop managed to order me a new headpeice when Madam snapped her bridle! I have more recently replaced the clip cheek peices with a couple of Stubben ones I bought from ebay.

They do sell seperates, but it must be because they moved premises you can't get hold of any at the mo

Hi there, thanks for your replies. Llewelyn that would be fabulous, thanks very much, if you can find it obviously, i'd certainly buy it off you so just let me know if you have any luck. I've never had a problem in the past getting spares thru my tack shop, its just appears to be with this premises move everythings gone to pot apparently!
