John Whitaker Saddle Flaps?

I have a Young Riders John whitaker close contact saddle and a English something Dressage saddle. My JW isn't Mono flap but still has a close contact feel but my dressage saddle is. I sometimes want the but more feel whilst jumping like my Dressage Saddle so I was wondering whether it is possible to get it changed? Can you turn it from a short strapped 2 flap to a long girth straps single flap? Also wondering whether you could just have the short straps removed and replaced with longer ones? Thanks xx

You can do just about anything with a saddle if the parts fit, function properly without impeding anywhere else and look right but it's whether or not it is cost effective

It would cost more than the saddle is worth I'd say. Probably better of trading it in for something you really like. Short straps are actually kinder to the hrose's ribcage so I'd not recommend going to long straps and short girth for the hell of it.
