Does anyone use a joint/mobility supplment that does not contain either of these products?
I am not happy about giving a vegetarian animal products that are marine sourced.

No because Glucosamine is the most well known and used supplement to aid the health of joints. Glucosamine is in the exoskeleton of marine animals.. its also in pretty much every other life form I beleive. Okay so it is made industrialy down two route, the marine exoskeletons and the fermentation of grains.

As it is found naturally in most organisms Im not sure how it can be detrimental to the health of a veteran and haveing fed it to elderly and infirm animals with no adverse affects.

I can not comment on the chondroitin as I dont know enough about it.

Most chondroitin is porcine derived, although it can be synthetic (rarely).

Only thing I can think of is Devil's Claw, which is a natural anti inflammatory derived from a plant, but it isn't going to do anything to protect the joint like glucosamine/chondroiten/HA are assumed to do.

You can get vegetarian glucosamine, derived from pine, it is not always derived from animals. Chondroitin comes from fish/shellfish, with no alternative.

Linseed is very good for the joints. It is high in omega 3 fatty acids, which are anti-inflammatory. Some oils are higher in mega 9, which are pro-inflammatory.

Devils claw can aggravate the stomach if used long term. Boswellia is a herb that can help arthritic conditions, it is a resin from a tree, and kinder to the gut than devils claw. There are other herbs that can help with blood flow and toxin removal and also herbs with a natural anti-inflammatory action.

It depends on the problem of if you are just looking for a supplement as a preventative measure

It is my understanding that Cortaflex does not contain either.

Equine Cortaflex Ingredients
Mucopolysaccharides,
Soy Protein Hydrolysate, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycine, L-Glutamine, Glucuronic Acid, Glutamic Acid, L-Proline, Aspartic Acid and Sulphur in a cellulose capsule.
