Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me on two issues. My mare tore both her DDFT in her front feet she has had her navicular bursa's injected and is now sound (touch wood) I obviously would want this to stay this way. Can anyone recommend any joint supplements that can help? There are so many out there and I just would like something that can help.

On another issue the same mare is a really anxious mare and she cant focus in the arena she stresses herself out and wont focus and any little sound spooks her. It maybe a boredom issue as she is probably fed up of walking around the sand school but I am unable to hack her out. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as well?

There's no over the counter supplement that will do what you're looking for.

Best bet is to hooves healthy and balanced to the whole horse and build up the digital cushion.

Rockley Farm Blog and Hoof Geek Blog are both worthwhile reads.

A good balanced supplement like equimmins advance, progressive earth pro balance or hoof plus or Forage Plus will help provide what your horse needs for overall health.

Why cant you hack? Soft surfaces and schooling are contradictory to rehabing soft tissue injuries. Ideally you want to be doing work on hard surfaces (quiet roads if possible) and building up slowly in walk.

It might be worth looking at some of the Warwick Schiller videos on youtube and Horse & Country TV. He also offers an online subscription service (£25pm unlimitied I think) and offers two training paths as such. It might be worth your while looking at the Relationship one as in sure that concentrates on focus and relaxation

I have a really good farrier so her feet are always done and he is really experienced in horses with injuries.

I am unable to hack for a few reasons, to get out of the property it is really deep mud and that just causes an issue as well, second she gets really tense and anxious out hacking in particular on the road so it would just be an accident waiting to happen if I took her out hacking :(

I have an arab mare who is a major stresshead by nature. I have tried a lot of calmers and the best is Pro Kalm by Supplement Solutions. It is expensive but i have found it works for me
