I have just started feeding my 2 girls. They will be getting coolstance copra, balancer and alfalfa over winter. Same as last winter. They (18months and 20yrs) both did fantastically on it along side adlib hay.

However, my old girl is looking a little stiff. She is a lot better now she is out 24hrs with free access to shelter than she was when stabled. But now she's it she can't wear her leg warmers ;)

Last winter she was on global herbs... but does anyone have any other recommendations of products that work?

If it helps both are barefoot, but old girl has no lami or Cushing issues

Thanks

I found Apple Cider Vinegar (must be with Mother Enzymes) helpful, apparently it helps flush out the build up of calcium crystals as they gather in the joint. Don't know how true that is but of anything I've ever tried and I tried quite a few things, this was the cheapest and seemed to have some impact. Also Boswellia works for lots of people as it is supposed to help reduce inflammation. I also found that some of my horse's stiffness wasn't help by his foot balance/heels, although slight, it caused him to move differently and hold himself incorrectly which put tension into his pelvis and caused soreness and hence some of the stiffness. All just ideas as they all react differently, but the more expensive supplements didn't do a thing to help.
