My horse has been diagnosed with spavin in his right hind.was wondering which joint supplement people have found most effective when maintaining this condition,am using equistro flexadin at moment but am doubting that I can see any improvement!
Thanks in advance for suggestions!

One of the best products is Synequin which I believe is only available through your vet. Our vet tells us that its made up of the purest products and not fluffed up with things like dextrose which is sugar. My horse isnt on it by the way but I do know of 1 or 2 at our yard who are and are definitely better for it. Other than that, theres Naf Superflex, Cortaflex, all sorts out there.

To be honest we tried an expensive brown liquid, then a more expensive white powder over a two year period with no discernable difference - then we found the linseed meal at £25 a 20Kg bag fed at a rate of a large mug a feed did wonders.

Deeply sceptical, Scottish, and tight fisted.... but I think the marketing has a lot of people believing this is an answer when it's merely "statistically significant effect"....

P.S> By way of balance, my father in law is an (English) professor of medical statistics and he is deeply sceptical about these products too :-) The English part I mention merely in case you thought it was just me being Scottish and tight fisted!!!!
