joint supplements

I am having great success with Aviform's Suppleaze Gold, if you take advantage of their 3 for 2 offer it works out at £90 a year (£7.50 a month) for a 500kg horse

I swear by Premier Flex Plus (by Equine Answers). Its got added devils claw and has been brilliant for my 4 neds. It works out at £8 a month on full dose (maintenance dose would work out at £4 a month per horse).

I'm having brilliant results with NAF's Devil's Relief (devil's claw). I feed it alongside a glucosamine/MSM mix. Creaky ned went from 2/10 lame to completely sound within a couple of days.

Really depends if your horse needs an anti inflammatory painkiller, or whether you want to improve the joints (or stop them from getting worse). My horse needed both, which is why I feed devils claw and glucosamine together. But your horse might be different and just need one or the other.

A second vote for Premier Flex Plus although have heard Aviforms Suppleaze Gold is good as well. I think you have to experiment, some work better on some horses, sometimes it doesnt seem to make a difference until you take them off it or change and then you notice i.e. I went from Flex Plus to Naff Flex and he wasnt as happy. Good luck in finding one that suits you.

I was using one for months but swopped on to Cortaflex as it worked out cheaper, my horse now thinks its spring, and is alot looser in his action.

I use Triple Crown Elastin, but I must admit that I looked at the Aviform one and was very impressed with the ingredients, both MSM and Glucosamine at scientifically proven levels AND at a very good price

I'm using Aviform Suppleaze Gold and it has made a very noticeable difference. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Cortaflex and to be honest I think it's better.

I put my arthritic boy on Riaflex and it made a huge and very noticable difference. The Riaflex 50:50 is really good value for money and their free advice service was fantastic. very knowledgable and spent a long time discussing my situation with me. the lady who formulates it all is a qualified therapist and her website is extremely helpful even if its just for general info. www.riaflex-equine.co.uk. She is a really informative person to talk to. Well worth checking out
