joint supplements

What injections and what decent studies do you have to prove that they have long term effects?

I recommend cartrophen njections then green lipped mussel pills and turmeric, chondroitin, glucosamine and hydrotherapy if you can afford/find it.

My lurcher (Beddie x Whip) had a cruciate lig done 2 years ago this coming Jan. Since the op she has been on Mobile Bones powder (Pooch & Mutt - family that do Blue Chip stuff) £9.99 per pouch that lasts her (16kg approx) around a month.http://www.poochandmutt.com/products/mobilebones/ - (Amazon do free P&P)!
Also has cod liver oil (get human stuff from Tesco) about £2 per bottle. So far touchwood not had any problems since.

OP is there a particular condition or reason you are looking for a supplement? Or just because of the age?

My girl has been on Metacam for years but I also give her joint supplements aswell. She has severe arthritis in her front legs.

I have tried many to varying levels, Seraquin being on of the better ones and relatively cheap after the loading dose :)

However the one I am currently using is Flexi Joints http://www.vetvits.co.uk/dog-supple...nd_sitelink3&gclid=CNKt5KHOv6wCFUdB4QodjWuHpw It really has made a difference but Kc will only eat them crumbled in with her dinner
