What's the most effective joint supplement in your opinion? My mare has been on superflex and not sure whether it's actually doing anything as she still looks a little 'off' at times (arthritic veteran). Is cosequin/ synequin worth paying for or if there anything cheaper?

Its very much horses for courses, I had been using Cortavet but was given a free trial of Synoflex which was amazing for old Heidi.

Cortaflex helped one of mine previously, but didn't help my mum's horse. He's now on Superflex and we can notice the difference between when he's on it and not. Unfortunately IME it's trial and error to find the best one for the horse.

Flexi Joint 100% money back if it does not help, here read reviews from other H & H viewers, its amazing wont use anything else, we have 7 animals on it here its done wonders for my old girl. All these reviews are copied and pasted on the website. No product is favoured so future members can read and make their own decision.

New reviews on any other product welcome just pm me and I will add your joint supplement review or any other review for any other ailment will be added to the relevant ailment listed

I've got arthritic veterans too, and have given up using supplements which profess to replace lost cartilage, or to prevent degeneration - I just think you come to a point where the damage is irreversible. I supplement to get anti-inflammatory/pain relieving benefits for already compromised joints, and use a bespoke supplement from Hack-Up which contains boswellia and turmeric (in addition to glucosamine and MSM).

This sounds interesting, is this an online thing? Does it appear to work? I'd happily swap to see if something else works as I'm not convinced about superflex.

My blend certainly seems to work for my boy. Web address is www.hackup.co.uk Alex is very knowledgeable about training/riding (former advanced event rider) and is a joy to speak to. He looked at some videos of Alf on the lunge and told me to stop getting my knickers in a twist about his stiffness/soundness - and to get on with it, as I'd never know if he would improve with work unless I tried it!
