My pony has very slight arthritis in her coffin joint, atm she is on the suppliment Cosequin which costs a bomb I'm lucky that it is being covered by my insurence but thats not going to last for much longer.
My pony is totally sound btw, and she has never been properly lame from it just a bit unlevel on a tight circle. So is there a cheaper alternitive?
I'm not sure if the cosequin is really helping as it she's sound and I'm not sure if it's making a difference or not because at the same time as I started her on the Cosequin she had Cartrophen injections

I use Osmonds Bute-X (not the Global Herbs version) which is a glucosamine/devils claw mix and can say for my boy it has more of an effect than bute, works wonders. £30 for a 2.5kg tub which lasts 2 horses about 2-3 months.

My horse has arthritis of his coffin joint (after fracturing his pedal bone last year) and I have him on Newmarket Joint Supplement, as recommended by my vets. It seems to be working very well and I think it was about £80 for a 5 month supply.
