Hi all,

I Have a boarder terrier x Jack russel she is only 6 but gone bery grey and almost old looking allready. She used to but out all day every day with me in all weather but due to my job change for about the last 3 years she has had a easier way of life. anyway she has recently been looking very stiff through her back and back legs (wouldnt say she looked in pain otherwise i would of taken her to the vets) just looks like me when i first get up in the morning.

Anyways i was thinking of putting her on a supplement just to help her does anyone have any advice or suggestion for what to put her on?

Many thanks

:)

If you have an understanding vet - most will think you're nuts, fortunately mine agrees with me. I give my approx 20kg dog 1 tablet a day (human dose is 2).

the vets i use for my dogs would think im crazy lol but the vet i use for the horses (that unfortunatly stopped dealing with small animals in november) is very good and he quite often has a look at our dogs if he is up for the horses and one of them have a prob so i will ask him thankyou very much

I use joint aid for my nearly 11 year old. Have tried mobile bones and yumove with little effect but joint aid has defiantly helped. Have metacam from the vet for those days when she is a complete loon and overdoes it!!!!!

I used liquid canine superflex which I saw a big difference in my 7-8 yo whippet
She does suffer with a little stiffness n my vet has suggested invigorate capsules which I'm just starting
Also I've read that giving termeric is good for stiffness n arthritis

I used to use joint aid for Bear and Yellow Dog had it for a while but after speaking to a vet he's now on glucosamine tablets for humans (from Lidl - £1.19 for 45) which he has one a day. Only been on them 4 days so not sure if any difference yet :)
