I've just bought a new one and I;m not sure whether it's just me, but the fit seems odd...anyone else had this? It's a gorgeous colour and design...perhaps I'm the wrong shape!

at least it's not just me! I bought a size 16 and I'm really a 14...so the body is nice and baggy (like I like it) but the arms seem short and the hem line seems about an inch too high...I thought I must be a very odd shape.

No, I think it's def. the design which is a pity as it's so nice. It didn''t wash well either, seemed to shorten on the body more and I followed the washing instructions.

that happened to my first one...this is a second. It's such a huge shame as this one is gorgoeus and I think I look rather good it in (and it's even a girly colour!!) but I don't know what to do with it now...I should really return it but I do feel bad as their customer service is absolutely superb and they were so very very helpful.,

both mine seem ok, I have a creme and Navy one and they shrunk a little in the wash but not much

I've noticed this with alot of their stuff. The only thing I've had which hasnt gone to pot in the wash is my daughters Peachy sweatshirt.

I suppose it's always worth writing to them if you have a real issue with garments.

I got one the other year, it was pink, I'm glad everyone else had problems because I felt lke I had fat arms or something the sleeves went so short!

I got one along with a Saratoga and a Peachy (all sweatshirts). The Peachy, although the sleeves were short (which didn't happen with the S/S '07 one I bought) is a size 10 as is the bulk of my Joules stuff. The Saratoga was advertised as "generous fit" and I have an 8 which still swamps me, and the Cowdray I had to have a 12 as the sleeves were too short in the 10. The Cowdray has shrunk now too whereas the others haven't. I'm sure they changed their sizing slightly this summer as my newer stuff is all a much better fit and with much longer sleeves. I jolly well hope their A/W '07/'08 stuff is as good if not better as I've just spent a huge sum of money that I didn't have on their site

I'm a bit of a Joules addict...!

is this post deflamatory? I've just been reading what deflamatory is and if sp, how do i delete the post...i didn't mean to do anything wrong

God no! Not defamatory at all. If you said "I think all Joules stuff is crap and they pay indonesian kids a penny a day to make it" you'd be in breach of the T&C's (*disclaimer... Joules don't use indonesian kids lol).

people compare rug makes etc on here all the time.

thank god for that...I really do like Joules stuff and have plenty (too many if I'm honest!) lovely examples of their clothing I've got a gorgeous fleece, fab rugby shirt, many gillet (3 I think!). I thought it would be OK as I am just asking an opinion but I don't understand how these things work so immediately assume the worst! Thanks Katy

<font color="peru">cowdray came up short on the sleeves with me too...so I just wear them pushed up! Much as I do like a lot of their clothes, their garments do tend to have some rather perculiar fits sometimes!

They come up really short in both the arms and length

I'm normally a 10 and have got a 14 in it.

Oh and they won't shrink as much (if any) if you stretch them properly back into shape when they're damp
