i bought some red joules wellies on the 3rd of november.i chose them because they had a years guarentee.just at xmas i noticed that they had both split across the ankle at the front.not very happy,anyway i took them back to the shop where i bought them from today with my reciept and they said that they have to send them back so that joules can see whats wrong with them!!!!!!!!!

i`m not too pleased,i need wellies now.
anyone had this happen and know how long this will take?
i expect they will want to give me another pair but now i dont want some cos i don`t think they are very good

indeed I had those wellies phone them up they give you a freepost address, tell them the problem and what wellies you would like as a replacement then they will send you back a pair. I bought a cheapy asda pair while I waited!
 
the tack shop where i got them from has them now and photocopied my reciept,has my phone number and now have to send them back to joules and will be in contact with me.
i have had some asda ones that i killed in 1 month.this afternoon i bought some boring countrywide ones which are not pretty,were cheap and will probably last for yonks.

i just wanted some fun ones.
bit rubbish when they only done 2 months and are sposed to do at least a year.
 
i stopped wearing wellies and bought some riggers!! i look like a pikey but they are really warm, waterproof, steel toe cap and last AAAAGES AND,, they are cheap. perfect, i love them although they arent very attractive

are they outriggers like builders wear?and waterproof?

i look like a pikey in the winter anyway so no prob there. lol
 
I would never buy another pair, bought a pair in the summer as it was so wet and I thought they were bright and cheery, but they are splitting at the front

yes,the phrase``lost confidence in the product` springs to mind.
 
Absolute rubbish. That is against your consumer rights!!!!! It is the shops responsibility to refund or replace any faulty goods!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the retailer would then take it up with Joules themselves. YOU SHOULD NOT BE WAITING FOR ANYTHING!!!!!

I import shoes/wellies for a living and sell to major high st retailers so i know how this works!!! Our retail customers would give the high st. customer a refund and then take up any issues with us afterwards.

Also the fault you have experienced is a common one, this area is a week spot in wellies, and unfortunally most of these fashion wellies are of a weaker recycled rubber compound and aren't as strong as your Hunter types which are more likely to be made of a virgin rubber compound.

Bet you never new so much about WELLIES!!!! : )
 
I also had a pair of Joules wellies which split after hardly any wear. Joules were very good and refunded the money, and I have since bought only Hunter or Le Chameau boots which have always lasted well.
