Jousting

Hi all,

I'm wondering about having a go at jousting!

I wondered if any of you had done any experience days or lessons.

If so where did you go? What did you get to do?

I live in North Wales, but am happy to travel.

I taught someone to ride a few years ago so that he could go to jousting school! He had literally never sat on a horse before and is apparently now beginning to do proper tournaments. He went here

I went to the Knights of Middle England jousting experience day. Was great fun, hard work though!

Try The Company Of Horseman - http://www.thecompanyofhorsemen.co.uk, they do all sorts of stunt/trick/jousting type stuff, really nice people and very knowledgable, they have 2 of my boys, a friesian and friesian x TB, on long term loan!

Dad did the Knights of Middle England day - he loved it, although I think they had a different idea to his of his riding capabilities (Dad has a very traditional hunter style of riding - this is not overly helpful for jousting ). He was knackered though!

I would love to have a go, but at the same time, the idea of having a speeding jump pole heading towards me completely petrifies me
