At least Saturday and Sunday look OK

On the positive side at least the ground won't be like concrete this year

I remember one year when I went it poured down all day so I bought an Australian type bush hat. Pranced around all day feeling very dry and sassy! Was staying at afriends for the weekend and her family were taking us out for a meal that night. I was horrified to discover that the dye had run and I had a very brown and very visible tide mark on my forehead!! Well you know what they say about pride hey!!?

lol!!

I went with pony club one year and it totally poured down - mud up to top of the ankles type thing! I got drenched through - i'd already spent all but £10 of my money and managed to find a sweatshirt for £5 and socks for £2 - was SO lovely to get some dry clothes on!

I went to the Royal Show last year in July when we had all that stupid amount of rain. I suspect everyone secretely rather enjoyed the rain, in a very British way. Everyone wore wellies - if they didn't arrive with any they bought some there and put them on. When there was a downpour everyone scurried in to the nearest shop, all crammed in together watching it lash down and tut-tuting about the British Summer. It didn't seem to dampen spirits and we still had a really fun day.

At least it makes the footwear choice for Badders an obvious one: wellies!!

I was there last year as well - showed my youngster in the morning and literally just as we were ready to leave the heavens opened. Very lucky I had a stupidly early class as the arena was like a swimming pool by the afternoon
