juggling work horses and kids

My answer at the moment is I'm not actually sure I do sometimes!

When I bought my horse 5 years ago my life was a lot more straightforward. 5 years on I'm married and have a 3 yr old and a 10 week old baby plus a demanding job as a lecturer!

Would love to ride most days as I used to, but I think initially I put way too much pressure on myself and therefore felt guilty as I couldn't spend the time with my horse I used to. Now I have just excepted that I can't ride everyday and I'm happy as long as I get on board a couple of times a week. I've also excepted that I'm unlikely to get him eventing as was my initially plan for him, at the moment at least! As much as I don't want to sometimes I think about how much easier my life would be without horses, but then I think it's important to have something which let's you escape from the manic lives we lead and my definitely provides that! I'm currently looking to move my nearer to home to save time due to the other demands in my life.

Sorry to go on! Lol x

errmmm...don't sleep much??? To be fair I have lots of support from my mum with the kids. But also to me the riding is the time I get to be just me...not a co-worker or a mummy..and that is so important to me personally that it's worth the chaotic life that i lead! not sure that helps you?
