We would like to buy some jump fillers, preferably plastic and have browsed the sites, finding them pretty expensive! They seem to come in singles (you need a pair) and are £80 each without delivery or VAT...
Does anyone have any alternatives such as road work barriers?
Where do you buy them?
Any other ideas, at this rate we'll be buying one filler!

at old yard we just made them!!! all we used was a wooden frame that we made then filled the gap with plywood and painted them what ever colour we wanted!!, new yard has bought ones!!!!

I made loads of jump fillers from wooden pallets. They are easy to get hold of, you just decide the height you want and cut them to size. The off cut is used to make the side support and you can then paint any design you want on them. Quick, easy and cheap.

I'd just use anything you can lay your hands on, that's safe, to act as a filler. This way you ensure your horse becomes totally immune to anything under a fence. Old plastic feed buckets (without the handles), plastic drums, old horse rugs, feed bags stuffed with more old feed bags, flower pots, dustbins, to name a few

we use anything and everything to get Flash used to jumping different things. Old plastic boxes, dustbins, buckets, tyres, feed bags, straw bales, flourescent tabards haha! Just be imaginative and go nuts
