I haven't jump bigger than 2ft9 and only a one off jump at this height for the last 3 years. And only on cobs.
So today I asked my boss for a jump lesson on her old eventer, its booked for next week.
I am now getting really nervous. I have ridden him quite a bit but not much in the school, never jumped him before and haven't canter him in ages. Plus he has quite a nasty stop, though I have been told only if you don't keep your leg on.
Considering he is 17hh I don't fancy falling off.
I know my boss won't make me jump anything I don't want to but I am still bricking it.
Can everyone tell me I will be fine and to stop panicking please?

You will be fine, heels down, don't look down and hopefully you wont go down

I agree you'll be fine, heals down, look straight thru his ears and just think of the buz and high you'll feel once you've done it!! If you never push the boundaries, you don't know where they are.

Cheers guys.
Fingers crossed I'll be ok. I'm sure when I get on him and start I'll feel less nervous, he doesn't ride big, luckily.
