Any opinions on JHL turnout rugs (specifically medium weights) at all?

Am in the market for a new medium weight / light-med weight TO rug and the JHL ones look quite deep on the pics (horse is 17hh IDx so deep is good!). I have one of their fleeces which comes up big for the size so wondering whether the TOs are the same?

I don't particularly want to spend a fortune on a Rambo, like Fal-Pro but can't afford one and HW Amigo don't suit him - baggy around the chest in the correct size, or too short to get them to fit around his chest. Can't put him in Masta or Weatherbeeta, they aren't made for types like him!

Thanks

love them! wouldnt buy anything else. they are very deep and broad chested. I would say they come up quite large. my 15.3 tb has a 6ft MW and 6ft3 HW. ovely and long in the neck too

I did have a look on their site the other day but all they had was very heavy weight ones. I can't see my horse ever needing rugs that heavy but will have another look as they might have added some more by now.

My mare has JHL medium and lightweight TO rugs. I love them but I don't think they come up any bigger than others. My mare is a 5'6" rug and is the same in JHL. They are the same makers as the Mark Todd rugs.
Forgot to add, Pink Equine have some good rugs in their sale. They are made by Premier Equine. Depends what size you need. I got a medium weight aubergine rug and its fab and deep!

JHLs are fab, they do come up a little small imo but that's lengthwise, they're nice and deep and excellent quality.

They're basically the budget version of the Mark Todd but are cut the same and just as good quality.

PS old-dairysaddlery.co.uk stock loads of them and have 10% off til Monday!

I have one on a very deep girthed welsh sec d, it fits him a treat unlike FAL or rambo rugs which i can't even do up on him!! They are made in the same factory as Mark Todd rugs and are of excellent quality, I would deffo buy again.

Ooo thanks for the photos Lou, they really are deep aren't they?! I ordered a 6ft9 MW for M earlier today and once it comes, no doubt I will be wishing I'd bought one at the start of winter instead of the end, when his belly finally doesn't stick out below his rug

The JHL fleece I have fits him nicely so hopefully the TO will. I've gone off full neck rugs so have ordered a no neck MW with a detachable neck. Gone for the large size as I figured, at 17hh, he would prob be a large rather than medium...

Thanks all, help is appreciated
