Well I haven't jumped zizz since july last year due to not having any jumps at home nor the time or money to compete him in the autumn. So rather foolishly i entered him in Weymouth and district RC hunter trial on sunday in the 3ft class. Regretting my decision i thought i better take him up the road for some clear round SJ and luckily he remembers how to jump! i put him over a 3ft course and he pretty much hurdled the first few, took a stride out in the double and then jumped the last three spot on. The problem is i now know he is basically too fit as it was really hard work to get him going at a nice steady pace even warming up away from fences (at home he plods along anyway). I really don't want to change his bit as he has a very soft mouth so any tips on how to keep him calm would be greatly appreciated or do you think its just fizzyness from not being jumped for such a long time? Also if anyone knows the time to walk the course on saturday could they let me know. Being the most organised person on here i have of course lost my schedule thanks!
