Can anyone recommend some boots which will protect the front of the fetlock on the hind legs as my horse doesn't pick his back legs up whilst jumping and he clumps himself sometimes whilst jumping and then he puts in dirty stops and he had me off on sunday and I landed on the jump cup (good shot I hear you say) nice bruise coming up now....
He had a tendon injury in 2006 and has recovered well after surgery, this may be why he is not picking up his back feet properly...... I don't ask him to jump much and I don't ask him to jump very high, but as he used to love jumping so much I think it would be a shame to stop, I am just tying to make him more comfortable if he occasionally hits a pole.... I have brushing boots all round but this does not protect the fetlock....
any suggestions....
