I always loved jumping when i was younger, but had a very bad fall around 8yrs ago resulting in broken ribs, dislocated shoulder and broken wrist. Ever since, I've never been able to feel as confident jumping. My boy loves it and I've jumped him before but i'm not confident enough to jump unless there is someone on the ground in the school. Due to my hours at work, i'm not always down at the yard when others are. So does anyone have any tips to build my confidence?

Go back to basics. I had a nasty accident a few years ago which resulted in a spinal operation. I started back out with trotting poles then poles between posts, then a small cross etc and gradually built back up to a full set of jumps with fillers. If I ever started to panick I just stopped and then started where I'd left of in the next session when i was in a better state of mind. This worked for me. Good luck.
