Hi, my first show on rosie is in 2 weeks. ive decided to do clear round on her.. does anyone know some schooling exersizes that i can do with her to get her used to jumping at a show?! because shes a cheeky little thing! also if she refuses should i dive out of the ring to avoid embarasment hehe

many thanks Stephen

You'll be fine, just take it steady, and have plenty of leg available if needs be!! Clear rounds are meant for beginners so don't begger off if you have a stop, get her round, then go in again and I'm sure she'll fly round!

Good luck!

Just try and get her to listen to you before you go in, i.e. do some circles, transitions etc. If it all goes T**s up never mind, just don't loose your temper and go again another day!! xxxxx

Hiya! I had the dubious pleasure of running the Clear Round ring at our little local show last weekend. Having seen some interesting sights - overbearing mothers/screaming kids etc, I'd advise you to trot your pony round the course first before attempting no1. Don't sneak away if you mess it up - complete the course, have a breather and give it another go! If you get there nice and early, not many people will be about and you can practice in relative privacy. Enjoy it and good luck!
