As I can't ride at the moment, my mum came up to the yard with me and decided to let Billy in the menage for a bit of loose schooling, but just to let off steam more than anything else. Well....he went bananas! Galloping, bucking and having a good old stretch of his legs - so needless to say the horses in the neighbouring field came over to see what all the fuss was about, so Billy ambled over to the edge of the fence to say "hello" and just jumped over!! The fence is about 4' and there's a big gap and a bank - he jumped the whole thing from a walk and landed ontop of the bank like it was nothing! Thank god he was fine and after a slight disagreement with one of the horses we were able to catch him and all was fine. I don't think I have ever been so !! I was ready to throw my crutches and run - broken leg and all to "rescue" him! Thankfully everyone/horse was ok, but there's certainly never a dull moment around them - horses, who'd have them eh?

Lucky he was fine. One of mine has jumped out of our arena twice now. It's about 5 foot!! Whenever I ride her she locks on and says lets do it. A good few times I've had to haul on one rein to get her away from doing it again! Funnily enough no one else at my yard is ever up for riding her!!

Hope yours doesn't try it with you on!!!!
