Hi all!

Thought I would ask you all as the pro's!

I have another lesson on Tuesday. I love my instructor he is great, but Star only really gets interested in her jumping when the fences go up a bit. I'm only talking 2"ish to wake her up. However when I went back to lessons I was really nervous and my instructor has made it clear that he wants my confidence to get a bit better. I was jumping 3"6 on his ex grade A schoolmistress and that was fine. Didn't worry me. But now I have got my mare I feel it might be easier for us to put the fences up a bit instead of me constantly having to try to fire her over the little ones. I think if he pushed me a bit harder we would advance faster. But then again he is so experienced, I don't feel I should question him.

What do you guys think. Am I trying to run before we can walk?

Advice appreciated!

It's always worth discussing this sort of thing with the instructor. Often an instructor will be holding back because he/she doesn't want to risk destroying confidence.
So have a chat but in a nice way
